Neca even seems to know this themselves. Look at their new Defenders of the Earth figures. I'd say those are the best figures Neca has ever done

Id guess that they went with that style of knee due to the added weight of the bulkier Buck and wings, along with that bipedal leg design. Which, over time, could potentially cause a double jointed knee to sag or warp.
