Are you talking about in-store sales? GameStop.com is still selling and taking pre-orders for new NECA items. In stores, GameStop has been generally winding down that side of the business as they lose more and more money on in-store sales. Plus, there's just not a lot of real estate to put in a full section, and the collectible sections in my local GameStop's have been shrinking to almost nothing. It's mainly just socks, shirts, and stuff they've had for years.
