Of course there has to be commitment to genuinely attracting and retaining a diversified staff along with sincere and sustained support for whatever ideas they bring to life. However, at 80+ years of age, change does not come easily. Especially in a publishing industry that is going the way of the dodo and with a population that reads less each year.

I actually appreciate that Hasbro gave such an honest answer. Surprised, yes. Think it was a weird PR move, yes. Disappointed in the answer and them, definitely. I hope they use this as a learning opportunity and change how they approach researching and portraying authentic skin tones. I'd appreciate it even more if they worked to a solution for the Karima issue specifically too. A re-colored head as a future pack in somewhere could work for me (not a free solution but would maybe be the only feasible way for Hasbro to give us a fix)
