Incoming Rant
- Too bad Marvel as a publisher doesn't have that same level of respect, with Galactus serving merely as a foil to be smacked around by other trending characters in an effort to demonstrate their 'powah'. The silly Thanos drubbings were bad enough, but Galactus' demise at the hands of Thor was a bridge too far and beyond nonsensical.
In typical Marvel fashion of shooting itself in the foot, they've effectively neutered Galactus for the sake of sensationalism in the revitalization/emboldening of [insert whomever here]. Galactus has little gravitas now and has definitely lost his mojo.
However, depending on the success or failure of the MCU Fantastic Four and a fickle editorial staff, I could see Marvel trying to restore some of what they've destroyed which would make the recent spate of storytelling even sillier...contextually...
End Rant
Absolutely agree! I believe they call that the "Worf Effect" haha
