Honestly, I do a lot of 'future-casting' when grabbing off-color/unexpected characters. Both Buscema bros are some of my favorite artists of all time! I know many might consider their art to be dated or simplistic, but I hold them in the highest regard as setting up a foundation for Marvel-style character looks from the silver-bronze ages and beyond.

I agree 100%. I have a Spider-Man head sketch from Sal. It is the only Spider-Man sketch from my Comic book convention days. He was a wonderful gentleman to have a conversation with. He lived in Fairfax, VA where my Dad had a restaurant for nearly 20 years. He and his wife came to my Dad's for special Anniversarys but not while I was working there as a busboy.
