This line is frustrating. The Batmobile is too small and the Batcave is ultimately too small for the scale and is cheap as hell when you have it in hand. The capes on the figures are awful and the figures are missing paint detail such as the gold capsules on Robin's utility belt. Those are present on the Mattel figure but because this is a cheap line and each of those gold capsules costs a penny to paint, they cut them which ultimately hurts the figure.

With that said the build quality of the figures and overall look is superior in every way to Mattel. No more goofy looking skinny bodies, and the likenesses are perfect for the most part. The old prototype and marketing photos were completely different sculpts, so those looked awful but after seeing them in person they are a lot closer than the Mattel. The best thing is the paint quality. The McFarlane paint is nice and matte/flat and looks great despite the missing details here and there. The paint on the Mattel line is shiny/glossy and last I checked their skin, hair, and clothes didn't glisten in the light. If McFarlane would stop skimping on the paint details then he'd have a clear winner at least on the figure side. The undersized accessories/vehicle are lost causes.
