Street Date: Officially 2021-11-10
MSRP: $20
Price I Paid: $20
Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10)

Target.com still has this in pre-order status, but many Target stores received copies right before Christmas 2021.

----------

McFarlane Toys decided to make action figures of the six main characters in Three Jokers, a limited series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jason Fabok. (Thankfully, the company didn't make this a BAF (Build a Figure) wave.) Batman, Batgirl, Red Hood, The Clown Joker, and The Criminal Joker are available retail-wide. The Comedian Joker (from The Killing Joke) is a GameStop exclusive, though Walmart.com has had a listing for several months now.

In the plastic tray, there's one main plastic tie around Red Hood's torso. In addition to an information card and a base stand, he comes with only one accessory, a crowbar. (It's the same crowbar as the one that Rebirth Joker has, though a dark shade of grey instead of silver.) Both hands are "open" and have trigger fingers, but the spaces are small/tight enough that you can't really put either the New 52 Red Hood or Thomas Wayne Batman's guns in them. I was able to fit revolvers from one of McFarlane's Fortnite figures.

Similar to the Three Jokers Batgirl sharing legs with a previous action figure, this Red Hood has the same legs and even feet as the New 52 Red Hood, just with new red paint accents. Also similar to the Three Jokers Batgirl, the torso and neck pieces are smaller, I suppose to make both characters shorter than Batman.

He stands about 6.8- or 6.9-inches tall. This is the shortest and smallest of the three McFarlane Red Hood action figures. While that's fine in and of itself, I think the head is a tad small given that Jason Todd is wearing a helmet (unlike the Gotham Knights version, which could pass for a cloth covering).

Overall articulation is generally better than the Arkham Knights Red Hood that I reviewed yesterday, though I couldn't really get the upper torso to rotate much. The head rotates 360 degrees, and you can pose the arms so that Jason's scratching his own back. The gloved areas where his wrists are impede movement.

The main jacket piece is not connected to the arm sleeves, so it's possible to remove it and give Red Hood a "red vest" appearance.

Areas of concern:
-- None really, but I advise against trying to swap out the hands.
