I’m also not preordering any of this wave. I’m actually likely going to pass on it as an in-general, except maybe for Havok (although the lack of neck rings irritates me). It’s just a crappy wave for me, full of costumes & characters & eras I don’t care about, and bad execution on the characters I am interested in.

I’m disappointed with how lame the X-Men waves have been for me the past couple years, as someone uninterested in both AOA & the modern era. I look at my shelf and think about the exponential growth it had in 2019, and then how few additions I’ve made to it the past two years. It’s disappointing because most of what I have gotten is really cool. The worst part about lame figures is that they’ve shown us time & again that they’re capable of way better.

I’m actually feeling that way on the line as a whole. Between rising prices & what a pain it is to actually *find* these things at retail, my enthusiasm is waning. That’s coupled with a personal lack of interest in the character selection lately. Some of the only figures I have wanted have been exclusives I couldn’t find, or have been so half-assed that I didn’t bother buying them.
I think the hope that some (including myself to a point) were holding out was that maybe "later" meant when they showed her off again, in packaging. It just makes no sense why they would not include an alternate screaming head, but here we are, and they've done what they've done. While I'll still get her, as she was solidly in my top 20, I still can't help but feel disappointed at the same time.

I agree with you about the line in general. I'm going to stick to my plan and just really cut down to my specific wants. I threw out the number of 75 figures recently and I'm aiming to stick to that as much as possible - and that's if they released EVERY character in EVERY look that makes that cut. I also look at this wave and think, gosh, August or November, though we'll likely see this in June/July, but that's still halfway through the year and I just don't have a bunch of other figures I'm wanting that I've seen so far this year, maybe a half dozen.

I feel like it's very possible that 2022 may end up being the year that the production delays from Covid finally catch up to Legends, or possibly just figure selection is at the point where there ratio of what I'm getting out of what they're offering is likely entering the "end stages" of my collecting. It'll never be over, I'll probably collect in trickles until the line ends or where I have no disposable income at all. But it's definitely in that downward trend...which after nearly 17 years in, is to be expected.
