Amazon.com had Gotham Knights Red Hood and Nightwing listed briefly in December 2021, but their product pages disappeared until sometime in mid-February. Amazon is now shipping Nightwing again.

I'll be candid right off the bat -- this is a really disappointing figure, especially after having waited so long for it.

This version of Nightwing (Dick Grayson) is based on his character design from the video game Gotham Knights, which was announced for 2021 but then delayed to 2022.

In the plastic tray, there's one main plastic tie around Nightwing's torso. In addition to an information card and a base stand, Nightwing comes with two escrima sticks. There are two clips on the back that can hold the sticks.

This Nightwing stands about 7-inches tall, but he'd be even taller if he was actually standing straight. Instead, his neck is leaning forward at an extreme angle, and his upper back is a giant bulge.

The head and upper torso can rotate 360 degrees. The legs can basically go into 180 splits, but alas, the arms can't be placed flush against the body.

I was already unhappy about the hunchback look, and then I noticed that the trigger fingers on the hands have curled inwards over time. I almost didn't want to take the escrima sticks out of the package, thinking that they wouldn't fit in the hands. Also, the left foot was very badly painted, with white streaks all over the place.

I'd like more Nightwing figures in my collection, but not if they end up like this one.



Areas of concern:
-- The general hunchback design.
-- The trigger fingers on both hands curling inwards.
-- Paint apps QC (in my case, the left foot).
