THIS is it in a microcosm. We've stuck with Hasbro through a lot hoping that there would be a reward for that patronage. There have been many highlights, but those seem to be giving way to some irksome and self-destructive tendencies that, if not course corrected, could see Hasbro taking another hiatus on the Legends line. Actually, a break now wouldn't be that big of a blow with multiple other 6" lines: Star Wars, GI Joe, and Power Rangers all have dedicated fan bases.

While not my favorite iteration of either character, nor a pleasant experience as per usual with trying to obtain figures from Walgreens, I am generally pleased with both. To add to the Haslab list, I would LOVE for them to finish out the 2008 Guardians team with Phyla, Moondragon, Mantis and the absolutely crucial Cosmo the Space Dog. For anyone who has seen the Timber figure from the Joe Classified line, I am convinced they could do him justice.

All that being said, Hasbro has also been making some questionable choices lately with some other lines. Classified is on something like it's 6th Snake Eyes in 2 years with the most recent being a slightly modified and repainted version of the Snake Eyes and Timber set that was just released within the last 6-8 months. I have read/seen/heard similar rumblings regarding their other lines as well. Legends does seem to be faring worse than the rest though when it comes to questionable decisions. Here is hoping this is only a temporary bump in the road.
