I may have an idea why they don't do "e-tailer stuff", it boils down to scalpers and bots. Retailers have realized that they'll just steal the products before the collectors could get them.

Honestly, I'm sick of convention and store exclusives. It was cool at first (in the 90s/early 00s), but now, its just a pain to buy these figures, much less finding and hoping stores would even have said figures in stock.
