Aye, I'm fine playing all my old faves via emulation but there's a whole ton of retro gamers who enjoy the authentic experience of playing old games on the real machines and quite happily take any of them heavy old CRT televisions off you to play the classics the way they were meant to look. Old consoles can be made to run on modern TV's with the right cables but the real dedicated folk go all in. Some have whole entire rooms jampacked full of old gaming stuff set up and ready to go like it's an old amusement arcade (like the pic below) But yeah all these are the types tend to actually use those old cartridges and CDs and not have them all sealed up never to actually be played.
