It would be nice but simply just not feasible. They can't set up a production for a small quantity of figures and maintain that in the off chance someone puts out an order.

Of course there are some products that could probably sell well year to year but eventually it's going to have diminishing returns. Space is limited and mold don't last forever.

Really it's been a distribution problem. Take NECA TMNT movie line. It's a Walmart exclusive that most people could not buy in stores/online.
GI Joe has that the Target Exclusive problem during a Pandemic.
