McFarlane only started making 7" scale figures since 2019, when Mattel lost the license to the DC Universe. When McFarlane announced that they'll start making their DC figures in 7" scale, it was the irks of many. And they lost the ability to make guns for their DC figures shortly after, that's why there are not a lot of choices. Whereas 6" scale's been around for a long time, across many toy makers and licenses. Sure, McFarlane 7" figures are everywhere now, because they're current products. Before that, I can't even remember who made 7" scale figures...maybe others can help me out here.

Perhaps "popular" is not the right term, I should say "been around longer", which affects accessories' availability.
