Thoughts now that I've had time to digest it (and have preordered the retro Wolverine, Longshot and Avalanche)...

Really glad the training uniform figures are coming out. That was one era that I was really hoping we'd get eventually, but it was more of a thought we'd probably only ever get Wolverine. So I'm super stoked about that. As mentioned already, Banshee looks fantastic, and for those that were just wanting a Banshee in any outfit, will fill that hole. I'm sure at some point we'll get GSXM, but not gonna lie, the want for that will go way down with this. I liked both looks equally.

Avalanche is like...90% there but they'll probably redo the head at some point to what the "Classic" Classic Avalanche looked like. I'll probably get that when it comes out eventually, meanwhile, this is a figure that definitely needed a classic/close to classic release. Like badly.

Orb is fantastic. Much like Squid (who I'd love a figure of), this is a character I didn't really have any real knowledge of (outside of Original Sin for Orb). He wasn't on any of my want lists. I don't care. It's a guy with a giant freaking eyeball for a head. I can't pass that up.

Confirmation of the X-wave with Monet, Chamber, and the Astonishing looks is good - not yet watched the video, so I'm not sure if they confirmed the wave or just teased a figure or two. Definitely getting Monet, she's been close to my top 10 for about 3 years now.

Onto the head scratchers/disappointments:

Retro Longshot and Deluxe Mojo. Headscratching but in a good way. Why even both with the 3.25 (not 4!!) figure box set at all? Glad to get Longshot cheaper and who the hell knows, for $50 I may even get Mojo.

It's great that they're making Moonstone "available" though who knows how available given it's Walgreens. I realize the Boxset Moonstone is nearly 10 years old so an update is welcome for most, but I'm fine with what I have. Would have greatly preferred either Moonstone's classic (yellow/white/fin head) look or Meteorite.

Disappointment for me personally, but I know many will be thrilled because of how hard it was to find, the Dark Phoenix. I was hoping for a Jean, but I was hoping for X-Factor Jean, if only because of the X-Factor Cyclops 3 years ago, we need a Jean to go with Scott.

Over all though, not a huge amount for me that's not X-Men related. Just Orb I think, at least of what's been revealed today, though it's possible I've skipped something. Still, with Banshee and Avalanche I'm getting two of my top 10 figures next year, with another likely with Sersi. Those 3 are 3 more than I got from my top 10 this year (though Siryn was close).

Counting right now, I should be at around 20 figures next year, if the Avengers two packs is legit. MCU Kang is a certainty.
