A $55 Super7 Figure would have cost $32.31 back in 1986 (170.23% inflation per officialdata.org)
ThunderCats figures catalog prices;
Jcpenney 1986: $4.99, Berserkers $9.99,
Sears 1987 $6.99 and $9.99 per "set of 2 companions" (Wilykat & Wilykit, Snarf & Mamutt)
Toys R Us 1986 $4.97
(Sears was overpriced on companions. In the Netherlands basic was around fl.19.99 and companions fl.9.99)

Basically with the same money back in 1986 you can buy 6 figures from LJN vs 1 from Super7...

Back when Super7 charged $35 per figure it seemed more reasonable but still almost a double increase coming off mattycollector's $20...
