I still don't get it. It's not like they are forcing anyone to support the Haslab. You either do or you don't. It either gets funded, or it doesn't.

Dwight and them were pushing it because that is their job. They are required to do that. That's like getting pissed off when a store employee asks you if you want to get the store brand credit card. They're doing what they are told to do, not because they are trying to scam you or anything.
