After the decision behind OMD and all the recent attempts to fix that story, Mephisto is so tied to Spider-Man's mythos he might as well just be another Osborn wearing a mask.

Or better yet Hasbro could adopt a model like every other toy company nowadays and offer said wave as a timed exclusive. But they won't because that makes way too much sense and Hasbro likes to overthink everything.

It still wasn't that generic since it was all tied up with selling you a Ghost Rider car no of us really needed and basing everything around being "oooooo, spooky!" as the theme. Instead of Ghost Rider they should really go with a more Marvel Universe centric approach, maybe a new Most Wanted Villains set of figures, since there's more such characters like say Mandarin or Red Skull in a full Nazi uniform that could have a figure like our favorite Comics Code Authority approved Devil if not for Hasbro, as you so elegantly put, also not having the "balls" to release them at retail.

Anyway, it might not be a HasLab, but maybe at some form as a Pulse exclusive. That's the only way it's ever going to happen, if it ever happens at all.
