I'll buy any X character, so Ch'Od would have been picked up anyway. While this version isn't 100% accurate, it's a fine bonus to the figures I really wanted. But I do agree with you regarding the sustainability of the BAF idea. I don't want to see the idea end, but maybe it would be nicer to get 4 or 5 deluxe characters a year rather than have to get complete waves. I've missed out on some BAF's because I didn't want anyone in the wave. However, at the same time, continuing to use a BAF concept forces people to buy everyone in a wave if they really want to BAF. Granted, there are secondary markets to get the BAF, but somewhere and somehow the equivalent of a full set was purchased to build the figure.
I'm rambling.
One last thought, if they stop including BAF parts in the future, I would hope it could bring prices down. I think we all know it won't, but it's an idea.
