Most Marvel Selects that aren't just soft repaints of the old figures haven't come with diorama bases for a good while now. I'd argue the accessories are on par or better than what Hasbro included with their retro package version, all that had was two pairs of hands and one weapon hand versus a similar two pairs of hands and three weapon hands with this release. Continuing to compare to Hasbro's effort the only thing I give Hasbro the edge for is including an alternate head. Select has better paint, more weapons, is larger, and a $10 cheaper price tag.
Edit: I want to throw this out there, I'm not declaring this the be-all and end-all Apocalypse figure that everyone needs to own but I am defending that it is worth its msrp. If anybody is perfectly happy with whichever Apocalypse figure they already have they don't absolutely need this one too. To each their own.
