Truth hurts.

Right, because those apples are so relevant to a tantrum about the oranges of pop culture nostalgia and fashion design.

My dear fellow, you are perhaps the most inflexibly-minded person on this entire forum.

Ah, I see you belong to the "Threshold" school of evolutionary theory.

Well...crap.

Indeed. I really don't want to miss out on that one.

Doesn't seem to be hurting the line, or his relationship with DC/Warner Brothers...

Wouldn't most Nolan!Bat-fans have bought that wave anyway? It's not like Hasbro's character-selection practices where you're forced to buy Z-list randos like Orb or Blue Marvel to complete the BAF.
I do get a kick out responding to your interesting and unsolicited overtures for conversation, but I can’t do the line-by-line rebuttal thing…way too tedious…I suspect that you’ll eventually start commenting on each word I type with meticulously tailored snark and/or awkward memes…

I chuckled at the accusation that I might be the most inflexibly minded poster here. Were that true, I’d be lowkey-impressed with such a distinction given some of the entrenched personalities I’ve encountered on the Ark. Speaking of potentially uncompromising mindsets, are you looking forward to Negasonic’s return in Dead Pool 2 as much as I am?

While you’re likely playing at being obtuse, it seems that you’ve missed the point about what’s new under the sun. You employed a cliché that suggests there’s nothing new in the world; everything is recycled. And within the context of this discussion, nothing new to be done in the way of superhero attire. However, there are plenty of new discoveries being made in the world. New experiences being had. New ideas being explored. New cultures (not “new” to the world, but new within media) with stories to be told – and there is room enough for all. To bring it full circle, there is plenty of room underneath the tent of creativity to love something classic while simultaneously being open to something new. Sure, I prefer traditional hero looks, but I like alternate costumes and reimaged looks as well. In fact, there are some alternate and modern looks that I like better than the original *the horror…*
