After seeing all of the teases and figure reveals, the only ones that are must buys for me are Vision, No Way Home Doc Ock, and the X-Men '97 figures. I hope that wave two will include Jean Grey, a Cyclops with a Scott Summers head and optic blast, and Jubilee with fireworks. It'd be nice to have a new non-cel-shaded Mystique too.

The Alistair Smythe and Peter Parker two-pack surprised me, as I would've bet that Chameleon would've been the one to go with Peter Parker. I'm also curious as to why Peter has web-shooting hands when he's in civilian form, as it's not like we see him with his web-shooters on. It also shows how underwhelming I've found the Spider-Man two-pack series to be. Aside from Doc Ock and his bendy wire tentacles and Mary Jane, the figures don't look right. I don't know if it's the paint apps or colors, or the way they're sculpted, but Carnage looks off, the previous Hobgoblin looked nothing like the animated series OR the comic, the Green Goblin looks nothing like the series due to having Hobgoblin's gloves, belt and boots and his Glider being incorrectly shaped, and I would've preferred seeing Felicia Hardy over Aunt May Parker, though she likely would've had the same leg articulation problems/limitations as May. It doesn't help that animated versions of Venom and Spider-Man himself were limited exclusives that are insanely overpriced on Ebay now. Now that I look back on it, we've gotten animated figures of the main villains from the original Toy Biz "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" wave - Doc Ock, Carnage, Hobgoblin, Smythe and Venom. I hope we get new, sold-separately, non exclusive figures for characters like human form Alistair Smythe with his hoverchair, Felicia, Chameleon, Nick Fury, the Rhino, the Shocker, Morbius, the Punisher, the Vulture with old and young alternate heads, redos of Hobgblin and Green Goblin, a Deluxe Kingpin, J. Jonah Jameson, Harry Osborn, and non exclusive redos or re-releases of Spider-Man and Venom, preferably with alternate civilian heads.

I hope when we get more Marvel Legends reveals over the next few months that we'll get to see classic red-and-black suit Wasp, classic Iron Fist, some more X-Men 60th anniversary figures, more Retro Spider-Man figures, the No Way Home wave, teases/plans of a Secret Wars 40th Anniversary wave for next year, and/or hopefully some new Hulk and Ghost Rider stuff. Hulk and Ghost Rider are long, looooong overdue for Retro waves and Hulk's film rights rumored to going back from Universal to Marvel might make that happen sooner than later if it's true.
