Ditto, but I also see it as testing the waters to see if more comprehensive lineups of figures from older media will actually sell before snagging the likely much more expensive likeness rights for the other movies' stars. If B&R can sell, it's pretty much guaranteed that any of the movies will.

Ooh, realistic wishlists? If they stick with the BAF waves, I think it'd be something like:
  • Forever - Panther Batman (using most of the Clooney tooling), Robin, suited Riddler, Chase (she's name-dropped on the card bio), Two-Face BAF
  • Returns - Batman, Catwoman, Penguin, tattered Catwoman, Circus Strongman BAF
  • '89 - Batman, Joker, Bob, Vicki (also mentioned on the card), and Lawrence or Belltower Goon BAF

From outside appearances, anything '89 Batman has been selling cartoonishly well, to the extent they need to put out press releases to assure people more is coming. I can't think of any other time they've done that, no matter the level of fan outcry, so I can't see them leaving that kind of money on the table.

Joker could get his own string of individual exclusive releases outside of the wave to pay for the likeness rights. Considering that even something as striking as the Uncle Bingo costume is literally his normal outfit in B&W with a new hat, it would be cheap cheap cheap to pull a Malibu Stacy and pump out versions across a boatload of retailers to get a healthy return on the likeness and tooling investment, all essentially prepaid.

Off the top of my head:
  • standard outfit
  • coat and hat from the parade
  • standard outfit w/ beret & flesh makeup head
  • standard outfit w/ beret & melted makeup head
  • standard outfit w/ bloodied head & glasses
  • mobster suit w/ flesh makeup head
  • mobster suit w/ Napier head
  • coat and hat w/ Napier head
  • "Uncle Bingo"

There are more costumes but pretty much all of those use the same lower body, and most use the same upper body with different overlays. If they decided to commit, they could make a lot of figures with mostly shared tooling.
