Perfect would be 23. Big enough to sucker punch the Sentinel but still shorter. Like Rocky and Ivan Drago. There will of course be stretch goals but I would hope classic cone hat Wasp is part of the base offering. I hope they get creative. I want to see something like a cloud of ants that can go around a figure or work as a base. A big textured lump of translucent plastic air brushed with black.
I really think they are reserving Foom as an ultimate, or penultimate Haslab with characters like Surtur. Hasbro’s definitely running on some ‘one-upmanship’ energy with their approach to ToyBiz’ high watermark releases, especially those that are still held in relatively high regard by long term collectors. They’ve waited on Giant Man imo because the BAF has been one of the most celebrated of ToyBiz’ run and is still routinely found on collector’s shelves. I don’t think it’s necessary to go head-to-head like that, but many fans want updates of numerous older figs like Dragon Man (I’m on the fence with this one), Spider-Hulk (count me out), Blackheart (count me in), etc making it more of a matter of ‘when’ will they be made rather than ‘if’.

Again, my concern is that a Giant man will hit the right notes for a well-engineered and technically sound enormous fig, but lack the splash needed because there just isn’t much to his look outside of being huge. The promo pics are already leaning in that direction with a silhouetted shadow screaming, “look a how large the figure is!” Well, yeah, it’s Giant Man, that’s his thing. However, the fig simply being huge doesn’t necessarily make this a no brainer. Many collectors don’t even have the space for these centerpiece monstrosities (affectionately phrased) and Giant Man might be better received in a smaller format since he can vary in size. Additionally, it feels a little cruel to place a classic Wasp and Yellow Jacket behind a paywall of Haslab proportions.
