Here's something even I don't see every day: a 1993 Borg on Australian card. These Australian (and international) versions lacked a skybox card, and had a different equipment tray. They also had some text blocked out by black corrective stickers on the back. I think this is actually the only one I've seen, and it's easy to confuse for the 1992 Borg US figure, which also lacked a card, but had some different colors and accessories.

It's kind of interesting that both the 1992 and 1993 releases had the same basic Borg figure, but that it was changed a bit for 1993. This basic Borg mold would come back a third time in 1995 for the Interstellar series, with the firing laser arm.

For all the popularity of the Borg, there weren't actually that many Borg episodes, not even one per season. The reason, as I found out recently, was that after Best of Both Worlds, head writer Michael Piller didn't think anything could effectively top that episode, so the few that were produced after BoBW (a total of three) didn't really try to go bigger, but rather offered something smaller and different.
