I was trying to explain that this isn't Marvel "woking up" the Silver Surfer just to spite you but since you want to be a dick about it, I'll be frank too then.

Nobody gives a shit about the Silver Surfer so him being a chick is not going to affect this movie's performance in any way aside from giving Disney brownie points from both the media and comic nerds who aren't drinking the culture war kool-aid by both adding diversity to the movie's cast and using a deep cut character from an obscure 90s comic storyline.
