First thing I'm going to say is that despite what I say next, that Goku seems really cool and is a very interesting early DBZ Goku.

And now the negative. Honestly? I'm disappointed by it. I had assumed it would be like most SDCC variants where the variant is compatible with the original (i.e., has the same skin tone and different faces), and I was excited for this for that reason alone. I'm ALWAYS interested in more parts to swap around on every existing figure.

But tweaking it to be incompatible was not enough. This has a 3.0 head. And just like every other 2.0 figure with a 3.0 head slapped on, it looks worse than what came before it. Why? What's the point other than to prevent part swapping? It just needed some tweaked 2.0 faces - not a complete redesign of the head.
