The film that killed off Xavier and Scott for no reason (even though James Marsden was filming 'Superman Returns' at the time, his literal four-minute role here is just crap), cured three of its main characters, turned Xavier into an unlikable jerk overnight, gave everyone "Class (number) Mutant" rankings for no reason, turned Juggernaut into a walking meme with no history with Xavier, wasted new characters like Multiple Man and Angel, and was so bad it had to be erased with 'Days of Future Past' was inoffensive? 'Dark Phoenix' remains legitimately worse, but there's a reason I call 'X3' 'X-Men: The Last Straw'.

Not sure what the year has to do with anything since there have been plenty of characters who haven't come out in years. Now the youthful version makes sense and just saying Young Vulture would have not made your comment confusing.
Fair enough. I was using Vulture as an example because I'm trying to make the same point as you - there are too many characters that haven't come out in years. That's why I'm hoping Secret Wars has a new Doc Ock - we get an updated classic Doc Ock that doesn't take up a slot in the Retro Spider-Man wave (though I'd still love an Armani suit Doc Ock on the Toy Biz retro card art).

Why not? They gave us Human Fly and Wart Hog. They'er far less important to Caesar.
They're far less important, sure, but they have outfits. Caesar is a guy in a suit. Then again, Hasbro loves to make suit-and-tie figures, so who knows? Maybe you're right and we'll get Caesar sooner than later.

But then those take up slots that could be given to new figures. I'm all for redoing classic villains in updated molds, but when they are only doing 1-2 villains a wave, I'd rather have a new villain. Maybe instead of having 4 Spidey variants they could do 3 variants and one redo of a big name villain so we can still get 2 first time villains.
The problem with that is most of the new villains aren't selling. If they had an A-lister who sells with two lesser known villains, an A-list ally or supporting/civilian character (I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Mary Jane Watson that's not just an alternate head for Gwen Stacy), and two Spider-Men, I could see that working out better.

BTW, we just got the definitive Lizard figure last year.
Sigh. Yes, I know we did. As a Wal-Mart exclusive. That was hard to order and find. I wasn't able to get him, along with a lot of other fans. By the time I found him as a re-release for $40 at Big Bad Toy Store, he was sold out. That's why I hope these characters get wide releases. Just because a character got a new figure, like Lizard and now Venom, that doesn't mean it's easy to find.

Quote:
Green Goblin also had a figure released last year.
And they got his animated series look completely wrong. They literally repainted the Hobgoblin figure and didn't make the right gloves, belt and boots for the Green Goblin. Even the shape of the Goblin Glider is wrong compared to the animated series.

Quote:
That's okay though. We've had like 8 Venom figures in the last few years. There's another Venom movie coming out that will have more Venom figures, and of course there is going to end up being a pinless Venom sooner rather than later.
When the next Venom figure gets made, I hope it gets a new Eddie Brock civilian head that isn't half symbiote covered.

I honestly didn't understand a word you said in that recap, sorry. I will say this though, Kamala was not killed off for no reason. She was killed off because he was told to kill her off so they could bring her back as a mutant. She's already back.
I'm confused. What didn't you understand? There was a recap page in the beginning of an Amazing Spider-Man issue, I don't remember which, that said Paul and Mary Jane were married. That was wrong. Marvel admitted it was wrong and later confirmed online that the recap page saying they were married was wrong. The Miss Marvel thing was/is also a he said/he said controversy, where Marvel writer Cody Ziglar said Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige said they wanted Kamala killed off and brought back as a mutant and Marvel Studios said he never asked for her to be killed off to make Kamala a mutant happen.

It does to me because I don't want toys from a comic that sucked ass. Same reason why I won't buy toys from the X-Men movies.
There will be plenty of people who will buy the "Secret Wars" toys and 'X-Men' movie toys on your behalf, myself included. Also, "Secret Wars" was made because of Mattel's toyline, so there's that. Even the name "Secret Wars" was mandated by Mattel's market research, because kids liked the words "secret" and "wars" in their focus groups. And sorry, I like the 2000 'X-Men', 2003's 'X2', and 'Days of Future Past' films. 'First Class' is good too. The other 'X-Men' team films, though... oof.

Rogue is in the 2 pack with Destiny. Like I said, Lizard came out last year. Colossus would be cool only if he has pinless joints.
Rogue's outfit had white, not green. As I said, Lizard sold out and was hard to find/pre-order. Colossus really needs an updated body mold, though hopefully we'll see an Astonishing X-Men Colossus made that'll work as a substitution.

I'll always be done for a proper Kingsley Hobgoblin figure.
Same here. A new John Romita Jr. art-based, Deluxe Hobgoblin with multiple alternate civilian heads and a Goblin Glider that stays on the figure's feet this time is a huge want of mine.

Anyway, the Spider-Verse wave was just revealed, so it looks like those lists are true. Well shit!
If so, only the X-Men movie figures are getting my money. It looks like another year of skipping Spider-Man figures for me. AGAIN.
