I was incredibly lucky with Worthy Cap. Someone here on Toyark broke the news about Worthy Cap's existence, and they actually found him at a Walmart that was less than an hour drive from me. I was able to drive over to that same store and get him that very day.

Also, I wanted to weigh in on the conversation around Dan and the figures showing up at retail. First, Dan has always been incredibly nice in the interviews that I've watched. I do remember him talking about collector's waiting for clearance and how that couldn't continue. But it was just a matter of fact statement, not him shaming collectors for doing it. It was also part of a larger conversation about how too many figures were being produced and how retailers weren't able to move that much product anymore.

Second, the comic figures aren't relegated to fan channel releases while the MCU figures are retail only. The evergreen figures (MCU Iron Man and Spider-Man) were intended to be available at Walmart and Target throughout the year. And since there will be two more figures next year, both stores must have liked the results. Some of the stuff announced earlier in the year like the Zabu BAF wave and the Wolverine anniversary 2 packs were Fan Channel exclusives. But there have been other waves that have made it to retail like X-Men 97 (animated but close enough to be comic figures) and the retro Spider-Man and Iron Man waves. The problem is that the 85th anniversary assortment was supposed to be stocked throughout the summer at all retailers, but Walmart never stocked it. Walmart is one of the most ubiquitous retailers in the country, but they seem to avoid stocking figures that aren't in the traditional 6-7 figure BAF/retro card assortment. On top of that, they have some serious problems when it comes to managing their inventory. Some stores in my area are still stocked with the Bone Breaker BAF wave as well as the last Infinity Saga wave because they won't put anything on clearance. Not every Walmart in my area stocked the retro Spider-Man and Iron Man waves, even though they could have. Also consider that Target actually puts their store exclusives on the pegs, meaning we get constant updates/posts from people who can or cannot find them in the store. Walmart's exclusives seem to be online only with the rare in-store sighting.
