March catch-up post, been busier than I thought I would be so just now sharing these. The Batman immediately rivaled the Dark Knight in my book and since the sequel's release date is ambiguous I decided to grab this version and the cycle since BBTS had the bike on such a sale. Also ordered the Snyderverse Wonder Woman on BBTS since it's been the most attainable "standard" Wonder Woman so far. As a figure on its own this is pretty impressive, but except for the coiled lasso the accessories just plain suck. The sword is hilariously big compared to the movies (plus it is seriously warped) and the shield straps are so open and loose that she can't possibly hold it unless her forearm is parallel to whatever she's standing on. Definitely glad to have found the Nolanverse Scarecrow at Gamestop but I really find myself wishing that his right grabbing-hand had just had a lighter attached to it or something (like how the Lucius Fox has a phone in his hand) because this version of Crane never used a gun or any other weapons, and his version of fear-gas didn't exactly have a special effect since it was an aerosol. I backtracked for the Adventures of Spawn Cy-Gor on eBay to display with Tiffany and Commando Spawn. Black Series Bacara came from Amazon, I do think he is weirdly clean since every other Clone Commander I've gotten from the line has had some scuff and wear paint effects but it still obviously captures all of his unique aspects. Found the No Way Home big final battle Lego set at Walmart for $66 and then after building it I saw online that the more recent No Way Home Sandman battle set combines with it to really complete the idea of the scene, so I got that for $30 on Amazon to have the entire chaotic display. I used parts of the Sandman base to elevate him a little compared to the instruction version of attaching him so he could keep his working waist swivel, being a Lego set lets you do that kinda stuff. Finally then, my most anticipated gets of the lot, my BBTS pre-order for the Jada Cyberpunk Edgerunners Lucy and David finally arrived. I'm still not convinced that Lucy's jacket HAD to be soft-goods but they did a superb job with it and the way they sculpted her shorts to match the texture of the jacket is ridiculously impressive to create the image of consistency even though her shorts and jacket had no distinct texture in the series. David's pants definitely didn't need to be soft-goods but again they are very well made. Gloria's Jacket is the one thing that actually makes a lot of sense being soft-goods since it gets taken off regularly and is treated as a key item as much as it is clothing. I wish David had more accessories for his price since he's not that much bigger than a normal figure and he did use guns other than just a Yukimura. Lucy feels more comprehensive with her monowire pieces, Unity pistol, and cigarette alt-hand, the only thing missing is a hack-effect screen but I have absolutely no idea how they would have accomplished that in a way that wouldn't look clunky or just strange. They already showed us Rebecca and Maine but my fingers are so crossed for a Kiwi figure that they are starting to blister.
