So I finished reading the actual X-Tinction Agenda event today. That was kind of interesting. Hodge made me think of something out of Resident Evil but with technology rather than a biomonster. Sucks about Warlock. My only real complaint is the lack of consistency with the art. Yes, every book has their own artists, but all of the previous events seemed to try to keep consistency with the look of the characters. In this story, however, they constantly changed across each book. Cyclops would sometimes have his mask on, sometimes off. Wolverine's sideburns got larger in some issues. Beast was purple and Jean wore brown instead of red at one point. Boom Boom's hair changed. And so on.

I can't believe I am at the tail end of the Claremont run though. Like there's only one omnibus left, and only 2/3rds of it is from him. Oh, but before I get there, I've got all of the side content to read in the X-Tinction Omni, which is not off to a great start. The first issue was a story called Kings of Pain and for some reason Feral, Domino, Shatterstar, and Warpath are with the team even though they haven't been introduced yet. Also, Marvel messed up the pages in the issue. It goes pages 418, 422, 420, 421, and then 419 at the end of the story. Threw me off as out of nowhere the New Warriors were attacking the New Mutants saying TBC.

Yep, I am going to be even more selective than I am now and half of what I am going to buy are Japanese figures (Mafex and Shodos).

That said, i think the whole situation sucks but the manufacturers are also at the mercy whatever flights of fancy the idiot has each day. Expecting it to be different just because it's something affecting your bottom line is just a waste of time, IMO. Complaining actually isn't just a waste of time, but that has to lead to some kind of feasible idea. keeping the costs as they have been isn't a feasible idea, and I'm sure the manufacturers and retails are well aware that consumers are not happy about paying more.
I fear how bad Toys for Tots is going to be this year. They've already struggled to meet their hopes the last few years. Kids are fucked this year.

Figuring we'll probably be looking at $35 to $40 a figure though.
For $40 Hasbro better include a free blowjob.

ETA: in a perfect world, sure the billionaires and millionaires would take a pay cut, but by and large they're not going to,
Maybe it's time we force them to. We can easily find where they live .

and if anything, current political and economic pecking order and favoritism is only reinforcing that. But it would be nice, wouldn't it.
Maybe it's time we put our second amendment rights to good use.
