More freelance teammates, crossover cameos, and kitbashed weirdos! Many of them are NECA or McFarlane scale (roughly 1:10), which is part of why I saved them for this second post.

First up, the most natural possible Monster Force crossover in my mind is Hellboy and the BPRD, along with Ash Williams of The Evil Dead:

("Sorry, Handsome, I don't do autographs.")

(The undead luchadore is Bonesault, from Boss Fight Studio; I call him Decayfabe.)

("Arise, Serpentor, Arise" got me hyped about Zarana as an Indiana Jones-style tomb-raiding adventurer.)

I love this Valerobots Battle Armor Lobster Johnson:

Another obligatory crossover character is Spawn. None of the Spawn media holds up for me these days, but I still harbor plenty of nostalgic affection for the character, and this Call of Duty figure is a great G.I. Joe-flavored take:

(Dig that morale badge! So uncharacteristically whimsical!)

(Gunslinger Spawn... 'cause along with G.I. Joe, TMNT, and monsters, The Old West is one of my most reliable muses.)

Monster Hunter Daredevil:

I bought this McFarlane Toys Soul Crusher figure just for his gasmasked head, which I used in some of the Major Bludd portraits from earlier in this thread. As I was studying him to decide what head to replace the gasmasked head with, it occurred to me that I shouldn't replace it at all; the hood is sculpted so nicely that it was crying out to be used in an Invisible Man context, and since Griffin "The Eraser" wasn't set to release for months when I bought Soul Crusher, I kept him this way and christened him Deepfake:

One of the most intriguing things to be about Operation: Monster Force, canonically speaking, is that Declan Van Helsing had to go against his family's wishes and legacy by teaming up with Dracula to try to stop The Forgotten King. I wanted to create another villain with whom Declan can form an uneasy alliance, and the series is suffering at present from a lack of witches, and so I created Sister Salem:

Up next, quite frankly, is one of my least popular customs, but for whatever reason I love it. I was fond of Gunslinger Spawn, but I wanted him to be a new and original character, so I gave him a messed up helm and named him Stampede, after the Big Bad from Bravestarr:

(More about this young woman in a moment.)

This is my defiantly weird take on the G.I. Joe diver and S.H.A.R.C. pilot... I call him Deep Six Six Six:

No one knows for certain what befell Deep Six; during the mission wherein he was transformed, he was working in the cold, dark depths in complete isolation, which was always his wont.

There is something not just harrowing but outright demonic about Deep Six's appearance, and yet his skillset and powers correspond to none of the many classifications in our archives; he is neither a vengeance demon nor a "ghost rider" nor a Hellspawn.

Indeed, Deep Six's transformation seems to entail no mission or holy burden at all, though this hasn't stopped his colleagues on the Joe team, Monster Force, and the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense from calling him Deep Six Six Six.

He can stay underwater indefinitely without the aid of a breathing apparatus (disconcertingly, he has retained the ability to breathe, but not the need to do so), and he boasts preternatural strength and endurance, and yet his life hasn't changed significantly; he still prefers the depths to the surface, solitude to companionship, stillness to action, and quiet to what he calls "the ceaseless and intrusive inanity of human discourse."

When asked if he misses his prior life or whether he was happier before his transformation, Deep Six appears to be taken aback, even confused, reporting, "I don't see how happiness is a factor."

"For what it's worth," he adds, "I prefer my life now."

During those rare times when he deigns to visit the surface, Deep Six can typically be found in a lonely corner somewhere, playing solitaire or silently, implacably completing a crossword puzzle. Same as it ever was.

His teammates describe Deep Six as cold, aloof, odd, and even "damned spooky".

Keep in mind: all those adjectives appeared in his personnel file before his transformation.

Skinwalker:

Growing up near The Colorado River Gorge, Skinwalker quickly learned to both lose himself and find himself in nature and solitude. Even now, while he is affable and soft-spoken and his dry sense of humor makes him popular amongst his fellow soldiers, prolonged exposure to people leaves him feeling drained, irritable, and out of sorts.

Though adept in various branches of melee combat, he is not averse to utilizing rifles when the occasion calls for it.

Skinwalker is the lead vocalist in a Rez Metal band, and during rare moments of leisure at the base, he teaches himself to play bass guitar and threatens to have Clutch signed up for sensitivity training just to watch him squirm.

For all his ferocity on the battlefield, Skinwalker prefers tranquility.

"I abhor violence, but if someone threatens the peace, or even simply my peace, then my capacity for violence becomes boundless."

And here's where I might lose some of you (assuming I haven't already!)...

About a year ago, my friend Jarred created some kitbashes of the Mystery Incorporated crew, and hoo boy did they derail my hobby. I stole most of Jarred's kitbash recipes, but I've since made them my own.

Stupid Jarred also got me to revisit 1969's Scooby-Doo Where Are You! for the first time since the '80s, as well as the two-season 2010 masterpiece, Mystery Incorporated, which is one of the greatest legacy reboots I have ever seen in any medium. Seriously.

Anyhoo, 2025 has unexpectedly been my Scooby-Doo year, and in their way, the Mystery Incorporated gang are as natural fit in Monster Force as Hellboy and Spawn. You'll note that fidelity to the original designs was not a priority for me, but Daphne's the redhead in purple; Fred looks like a grim n' gritty makeover, but is generally the most faithful to the source material; Velma is far and away my favorite of the lot (you saw her alongside Stampede a little ways above in this post); Shaggy diverges the furthest from his classic design, 'cause my notion is that he's been turned into a werewolf, and he's a bit frail and traumatized in his human form, added to which he's become uncharacteristically fussy and OCD about his grooming because turning into a dog once a month leaves him eager to be less, well, shaggy during the remaining days of each month.

Oh, and I got the Zica Toys "Misery Machine" repaint of the Ramen Toy van, and it's magnificent.

(I haven't decided what these frogs are about, but I like them.)

(I call this weirdo Simon Says.)

(This is my strange and lazy take on the Mystery Incorporated Big Bad, Professor Pericles.)

Another odd original character, Dark Ride:

An alternate look for Velma:

I had to go the Schleich route for Scooby himself, and my attempts to paint this black Great Dane brown were unsuccessful and so, playing off of a passing, playful comment from Jarred, I call him Scooby-Doom:

Some more group shots to close, along with more of the Misery Machine (with Monster Force folks as well as Velma et al), including my weathering and the stuff I added to the interior:
