DC Play Arts Variant Spartan Batman

looks awesome and i'd totally get it.. but.. i can't deal with the exposed toes.. it just, i can't explain it, i just hate it. hell, i hate it when all dudes where sandals or flip flops let alone batman lol.

While most hoplites likely had exposed toes, I agree it doesn't work for Batman even if this is a Spartan version.

well if were going for historical accuracy and practicality, he also shouldn't have a full face mask, late roman shoulder armor and weapons, and a combo of 13th century European, and fictionalized Japanese styles to his armor. he has a more medieval fantasy look than early Greek. hell, if it weren't for the sandals I'd never guess Spartan, or batman.

actually, both of those things(the ears in particular) are a little bit lost within the design. It's lacking that distinct iconic silhouette that we all instantly recognize as batman.
