If it weren't for the stupid watermarks that literally NO other site uses anymore, these galleries would be so awesome.

Too bad.

We bust our asses, take time off our jobs and spend 5 days doing nothing but taking and sharing pics. Dozens of other sites and people all across social sites simply take our stuff without so much as a name drop. If the watermark is off center, they simply crop it out. So yes, the watermark stays, and stays front and center.

And many of us appreciate all your hard work, the watermarks are barely noticeable, with that said I'm kinda stoked about these, I loved robotech as a kid, the price points on these aren't too bad either, I may have to pick this line up at some point.

I'll say it again. Joe and the Toyark team take numerous photos of each display, so there is always an alternate angle that should satisfy. In addition their composition is usually first rate and it's not like the watermark is even really that opaque.

If Joe seems a little terse on the subject I completely understand. He gets photos jacked all the freakin' time.

I am happy that they are releasing the pilots on my scale but not much stoked on the prices. I'm just hoping they are durable and paints will be as good.

I didn't even notice the watermarks until after somebody keeps pointing them out

Joe Moore is right. I have covered this convention myself multiple times and people always steal the pictures without giving proper credit. You should ALWAYS watermark every image. I cannot believe how self entitled some people are. You want pictures without watermarks? then GO TO SDCC YOURSELF. Post pics on your social media and wait til everyone steals them without even thanking you. Every time I repost them on Geek Entertainment Network on Facebook I always tag The Toyark which has BY FAR the clearest and best images in the entire web.
Thank you Joe Moore and the Toyark team for all your hard work 1000 times.

Gimme a break. Nothing is "stolen" that is posted on a public website. If it bugs you to the point that you ruin the very pictures that you take, you may want to consider another hobby. This is the 21st century. Watermarks are childish and ineffective. People are going to SHARE the images no matter what "measures" you think you need to take. You're looking at it the wrong way. So what if people grab images and don't mention you? It's not like you are losing revenue or something. You act like this is some secret pay site that is being squandered. I'm just saying that the images would be SO much better without the ridiculousness. You "lose" nothing.

You're looking at this as someone who doesn't have to spend their own money to cover these events.

They are. And also as someone completely entitled with little regard for someone else's hard work. It takes all of 3 seconds of actual thought to arrive at the conclusion that even if your images are shared and contain a watermark that people will know where said images originated. As far as the poster complaining you "completely ruin" YOUR images. Yeah. Well, they AREN'T ruined.

EDIT: Thanks, Joe. Ya'll have the best images on the web and provide the most in-depth coverage.
