I feel like the Baby Yoda fad is something we'll look back on years later and wonder "why'd we go so crazy for that muppet?"

No doubt. Though I think it may only take a year or two. No one has the attention span any more.

Kind of like BB-8 in 2015 and porgs in 2017, both of which people seem to be over with by now. Baby Yoda however will probably sustain his appeal a bit longer than them thanks to us getting a 2nd season of Mandalorian in a year or less and everyone going nuts again over whatever new adborable things he does in the next season.

Who needs to "look back" - I'm looking forward and wondering about the fad.

No doubt, but it's still part of entertainment culture and history now. Starwars has always had a ridiculously obsessive collectibles economy.

Did anyone even like the Porgs? BB-8 did disappear though, I can't remember anything he did in the last movie.

A lot of people went nuts over the porgs during that short time period and there was quite a bit of porg related merchandise released because of it, including a bunch of non-toy items.

Droids, in general, didn't play a very prominent role in ROS. The new little droid had one scene and C3P0 had one scene, and that was it that I can remember - but I only saw it once.

C-3PO had more than one scene and actually had a surprising amount of attention given to him in this final film with the whole subplot of him losing his memory and regaining it later on in a touching scene with R2. He also had some great amusing lines of dialogue too. R2-D2 was the one who sadly got neglected thru the entire sequel trilogy.

I don't remember anything other than him losing his memory/reboot scenes, I vaguely remember a few quips, but I don't consider that as anything that moves the story forward. I'm not a fan of 3PO anyway, so I find his minimalized role to make the sequels even better!

R2D2 didn't do much coz he was a kung-fu kicking, flying, unstoppable force of fury in the prequels. He just laid low coz he had nothing left to prove.

Why does Sideshow always include a size comparison shot using an apple, as if apples have a uniform size?

Maybe it's the same fake apple so it's always the same size? Haha
