I've got to second that...these pictures are some of your best ever. It's so touching how you posed little Jay and his mom. You really get it! *sob*
Anyway, this set is indeed amazing. Both figures are incredibly well-done and I'm still surprised that NECA actually tooled a smaller body for Jason just for this release, especially one that's as well-articulated as the full-sized retro figures (or perhaps better- Jason has double-jointed elbows!). The paint apps are perfect and yes, while there is a skin tone difference between Jason's head/hands and the rest of his body, it's not a big deal, especially if you pose him with his shirt on. I lucked out and nabbed one of these sets during the flash sale NECA had on their site...all of their other con-exclusive stuff was up for a while, but these sets disappeared almost instantly. I'd had been totally bummed if I had missed out. And considering what the stand-alone retro figures usually sell for, $50 for this set was pretty fair. |

And yeah, as I was posing and shooting these, all I could think about was how gut-wrenching the back story to the first film is. Sure, Pamela loses it over the years and becomes a monster, but that moment when she tells the story of Jason's drowning always gets me.
