well i can only hope that the new one has much much much better writing, scripting, director, set and character designs, plot, pacing and music. shouldn't be that hard.

Regardless of whatever the new movie will have or not have, it will still suck if Channing Tatum is in it. How he even got into acting is beyond me.

Normally I would absolutely agree with you, but (and I can't believe I'm saying this) he wasn't that bad in the movie. Tatum was much much worse. It was like a mannequin being operated remotely by a key grip.

Read somewhere that Paramount wants to release the movie August of next year. Do we even have a confirmation of director yet? I guess that's not necessary.
