My friend said it best, rather than investing so much on figures, just make the old ones better. Not really too much custom work but a simple re-touch up of the paint really brings out the character.

Ironman 2 Hulkbuster
I really liked this figure but was disappointed with the way the paint came out. Used some metallic paint mixed with clear red and voila. The way he should have been Before Iron Spider Suit Same thing as the Hulkbuster Before (Use as reference) After (Now has a more metallic look, subtle change) Black Panther Target 2 pack After watching the new Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes I found a new liking to The Black Panther but was unhappy with the way he looked. I wanted to change that. Before After Carnage from Spider-man 3.75 line I wasn't happy with the way the red looked Before After More to come. The new saying goes, make your old toys look better. |

Got to ask what brand of paint you used for the Hulkbuster. I am wanting to add a metallic red to my Magneto helmet, but all my mixes turn out...pink </3

The brand is tamiya acrylic paint. I used a mixture of clear red paint and a metallic grey to get the metal look. I also added some water. Let me know how your magneto turns out. After seeing first class, its all about magneto right now.
