That's really cool, but the price tag is gonna be massive and definitely going to turn a lot of people off to it.

I've been following LegoIdeas ever since it was Cuusoo, and as a Lego and Voltron fan, this is awesome. I'm glad more pop culture stuff is getting approved, if Nintendo didn't have a deal with K-nex we would have already had a Legend of Zelda set.

I'm scared it's going to be the most expensive Ideas project because the last few except WALL-E and the Maze have been very basic, and just the licensing and piece count inflation kill the prices

Registered an account just to post my excitement for this.

This is going to be amazing!!!! They're totally going to sell them one lion at a time, I think.

Most people are going to buy two sets.

A looooong time ago I was in the Lego builders club. There was a news letter and everyone would send in photos of invariably Star Wars ship builds. Stuff like Lego space wasn't out yet so all the builds had primitive parts. Pretty massive jump to seeing epic stuff like this. Congrats to Len.

That is awesome. Unfortunately for me I have no problem paying a $300 bar bill but I have a huge problem with paying a $300 Lego set bill.

Aren't all Lego kits transformable? Thought that was kind of the point.

Anyway this is super cool. Hopefully they do sell them by the lion and not a massive set.

I think the point is that these are transformable with minimal-to-no deconstruction of the builds.

Prime as in Optimus Prime? Kinda seems like a given that Voltron would win in a fight, Optimus is just the size of a truck and it's not like he regularly has any powers to make up for it.

That. Looks. Awesome. Minor nitpick. I wish they had included the five pilots as minifigures.

I'll buy it regardless but, a custom face sculpt for Voltron would be great. The face as is looks...off to me.

It's going to be amazing, but yeah, they should have included the pilots.

Really cool and I hope it gets added to Lego Dimensions.

But does them getting the classic building block rights mean they get the Dreamworks series rights too?

Could those lions be around the corner for individual sets if that's the case? As well as a lego game?

While I love the intricacies of these sets, I hope it ends up being like TMNT went. With them having the rights for a year to 2 years, and then Mega construx getting it later. Or mega construx getting the Dreamworks series version. But do gotta give major props to the lego set, and hopefully they'll work in the pilots as lego people in a set later somehow with all 6 pilots. If this does well, maybe with a massive castle set?

Otherwise, still really hoping someday playmates does an Exo-Squad figure scale style of their Voltron line later. Though I'd prefer the Mega Construx mini-figure style, I do really love the exo-squad style figures too.
