Do you think they'll go with a resculpted headsculpt or reuse the same sculpt again? <3
I'm HOPING IT'LL LOOK JUST LIKE THIS! Maybe with a lighter skintone? As in a lighter hue? Also I would love for the eyes to pop give me distinct eyes. <3 <3 I believe the first Hot Toys Guardians of the Galaxy Star Lord came up with a little darker skintone since they had based it on the beginning scene of the movie where he's in the cave causing obviously things to look darker on film. Also a couple days ago Toyark revealed catalog pics for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2! It only showed Star Lord's masked sculpt which makes me think they're working on it right now. Also my mind was blown away by the Doctor Strange headsculpt I have faith they'll knock this Star Lord headsculpt out of the ballpark! CAN'T WAIT!!

The first Star Lord sculpt was pretty good and I can't find much wrong with it. The mouth was a bit off, though? If they share my nagging perfectionist tendencies at all, they'd want to take another crack at it.
As expensive as these things are, they don't strike me as the sort of company to take the lazy route. But yeah, entirely speculative. For $300+, I'd kinda want those pretty alien girls from the Boot of Jemiah club on Knowhere to drape over each of his arms. Hubba. |
