Greenskar, I totally get that each thread has a general topic which we should stay on. However, this is Spidey Appreciation. I had no idea that linking to a toy on TRU.com would be considered off-topic. I was simply trying to help people get what they are looking for so as to take pictures of them and then post said pictures here for all to see.

I love this forum and the connections I have made with people. However, I feel like I have to be constantly walking on eggshells in each thread for fear of getting infractions or banned. Especially after the recent fiasco in other threads, I feel like I have to be extra careful about what I post. I don't want to get banned, so I need clarification on what I can and cannot do. In a way, it's wrong. It's understandable that going too far off topic is going to derail the thread, but side comments here and there don't hurt. I don't know. That's just my opinion the whole thing. I actually would write more than that, but...

Anyways, thanks for info on how Peter died. I will probably check that TPB out in the near future.

Since the toys you spoke of are Marvel 3.75", then that news should go in that thread in the Marvel Toys forum.

Also, each forum has a description with it about what goes in it. Just click on the name of the parent forum to read them. If you're still not sure, PM a member of staff before posting.

OK. Thanks Trebleshot. You've been a super cool mod dude. Thank you for not taking offense from anything I have said. You're Aces in my book.

Nice pic, Provost. Bit of a Joss Whedon influence there, yes?

And I totally believe that Scythe was only looking at the Spidey in that pic, too.

I almost picked that up the other day, then decided I don't really need the gimmick cases anymore, as they usually take up more room on the shelf than the standard packaging. Also, they tend throw off the aesthetic balance on my BD/DVD shelves (curse my OCD for that little nugget of twitchy-ness).

But after seeing that the mask portion is open and the only backing is the disc holder, I'm really glad I didn't get it. Kind of a cheap way out there, Sony.

The preorder for the movie that included that case was the same price as the one without it, so it was a nice little bonus. If it would've been much more, than yeah, quite the waste, though I feel like it wasn't. Regardless, I keep my BR's in their cases and special cases like that go in my glass display cases to keep a character theme, much like the cheaply made Batman mask case for TDK.

Yeah, I remember passing on that TDK case for that exact reason. The last "deluxe" case I bought was ROTF Bumblebee (transforming cases - gotta love 'em, right?). My favorites are the ones that give you the option of using the standard BD cases or the bonus packaging.

Thanks for the feedback on the ASM case. I might still get it if there's a good deal on it next week.

I collect when I can steelbooks, they're like my weakness. Really wish ASM would've had one. Sometimes the UK gets some neat stuff we don't here in the states. Last steelbook I got was for Iron Man 2.

I have no idea, I think it happens in #698 or so. I find that concept dumb as crap. I'll be skipping #700. I tend to usually enjoy non-canon Spidey outings.

Most kids rarely are.

In other news, I saw and passed on the MvC set with Ultimate Spider-Man which I really regret doing. That and the Box/Vindicator set are the two that I constantly pick up at my TRU and inevitably put them back down every time.

I've also been doing that with the MU FF Spidey. No idea why.

FF Spidey is awesom. Only downside is how buff he is.

Best Buy had an ASM steelbook exclusive for sale which I think may still be available in some of their stores. It looks good on my movie rack but it didn't impress me as much as the Avengers steelbook did.

Thanks for the link. Not sure if I'd double dip for it though.
