They definitely shouldn't continue, if you don't mind spoilers I'm positive you can look up everything about the movie elsewhere but I know I'm not alone in wanting the movie's surprises to remain surprises. It's one thing to hop on here and say the movie was great or other simple stuff like that but it's pretty inconsiderate to start going into any details about the plot or characters.

Except we had some revelations mentioned about Zendaya's character, as well as the mention of Liz (had no idea she was in it) and a name drop to Donald Glover's character, which previously had been kept secret in the press, and could hold possible indications on where the series as a whole might head someday.

Dropping a spoiler a month or two after a film is out...okay. You've had time, and chances are if you have not seen the film in theaters within a month of its release, you will not see it until it hits DVD. Dropping spoilers though within the first two or three days of a film's release...not so much. It wasn't considerate when Homer Simpson did it when Empire Strikes Back came out, and it still is somewhat unclassy now, even though E-zines LOVE the clickbait.

While I know these are "minor" spoilers and don't do much in giving away the bigger plot points of the film, I made it a deal to speak up before someone said too much, as the stuff that was already being said was stuff that I hadn't known previously...especially in the instance of the Glover character. It's already hard enough to avoid spoilers in this day and age when you have bloggers and E-zines throwing up articles about the end credit scenes hours before the film's first midnight showing even takes place, with a new story or review hitting news feeds every other hour. I know that much of the mystery of movies is now gone as we are bombarded with trailers and teasers to trailers a year or two in advance, but some of us do our best to try and avoid some of it.

Anyways...saw that people overseas are already getting their hands on the Thor wave, so they shouldn't be too far down the road.

I watch Screen Junkies Movie Fights on YouTube and they had a debate about Spoiler Ettiquet once. They came to the conclusion that you should wait a week to spoil a movie and 2 days for an episode of a TV show. I don't know if I agree with that entirely though. There are plenty of resources for people who want to seek out spoilers. I know I've been avoiding Homecoming trailers up until I saw the movie yesterday because I was worried they'd give away too much. There should definitely be a dedicated thread for movie talk.

Can we get a mod to hedge-trim the movie talk here, at least for the spoilers and the "don't care, post spoilers anyway" knuckleheads?

Thank you! Not all superheroes wear capes. Oh wait didn't you say you did at one point for a con?

I mean, really, the movie's been out for four days now, many people wait until the second weekend to see a movie just to avoid the crowds. That doesn't mean they care to be spoiled. I think after the second weekend it's appropriate to discuss in general. just my opinion though.

All i did was mention ned's differences from the movie vs comics and liz being a better love intrest than mj or gwen. Didnt realize a comic comparison is something that cant be said.

A very good friend of mine is the absolute king of the 'anti-spoiler' set. The funniest part about it is that he pours over every iota of lead-up info and hype, then emails it, or tells us by mouth what's happening up to the latest minute. He never stops to think about how his meticulous updates of every little bit of minutia may be ruining the Gwaut-damn movie for us...or *Gasp!* himself. I don't do hype, or trailers...unless, of course, he sends them...or 'you guys' post it here. I'm just shocked at the level of cognitive dissonance that takes place when the spoiler crowd digests pre-premiere media. If you've any familiarity with comics and modern story-lines, between the trailers and blogosphere write ups, you go into the movie with a good idea about nearly everything that's going to happen.

...just a wee bit antithetical and counterintuitive, if you ask me...

I saw it tonight with my son. It was a good movie. Keaton was an amazing Vulture, I loved how he brought the character to life. Tom Holland will make a great Spidey for years to come. My only big gripe is with the casting of a certain character. They also probably could have done more with the Shocker, he came off as pretty lame and forgettable.

There is a post movie scene at the beginning of the credits.

Don't stay for an end of the credits scene. It basically had Chris Evans trolling the audience for sitting through the whole credits for nothing. I didn't understand including that at all.

I think that whole Cap video playing was just for fun, if you remember back in HS they had those types of videos where they showed us stuff granted it wasn't as zany or silly but it was funny cause of when they filmed that sort of stuff and they never really updated it back then. The movie to me over all was ok it was a bit lack luster, I still think they should just do away with putting Spider-Man back in HS and just move forward with him being an adult...but since this is the 3rd reboot hopefully it'll be the last reboot and we can finally move forward and see him mature.

finally saw the movie and i liked it. not really into that highschool theme but besides that it was good. that tactical look worked for vulture in the movie but not in the figure. they should have showed more villians thou. i liked when they showed the city of Queens, my ex-hometown.
