That Spider woman looks fantastic.

Still remember my old Toybiz one with the web throwing gimmick, it looks like with her hair the way it is on this one it won't limit articulation like it would have if her hair was all down.

The figure is for spider-girl previously known as araña, she is a different character from spider woman, that's why her hair up and the suit is slightly different, and as far as I can tell this figure would use the previously unreleased female teen mold (jubilee mold) which appears to be just a slightly smaller scale of the moonstone mold (used for the black cat figure).

Hopefully this figure makes it to stores, hasbro hasn't had a good track record with their swap figures from previous waves, and seeing how they aren't changing their strategy much it's not looking too good, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for Spider-girl and Toxin, boomerang I a pass for me

The old Spider-Woman (Julia Carpenter) from West Coast Avengers time, changed her name to Arachne when she joined Omega Flight.

She would then become the new Madame Web (Because the old one was killed by Kraven's Daughter) and she handed over the costume to Arana and she became the new Spider-Girl. The name of Spider-Woman went back to Jessica Drew (the chick in red and yellow) when she returned to comics. The old Spider-Girl (May Parker) I am not sure where she went , but she went away.

No kidding - you and me both. Seeing in-package shots of these variants already is making me just that much more nervous about not finding Black Cat.

Found my Black Cat this morning before I went into work, kind of surprised they restocked already but very happy! Now to get the variant.

Awesome! Yeah, I can't believe there was already a restock. They must have had a decent number in the back already. Is the movie coming out soon or something? I can't remember.

I just went ahead and fed the scalpers for my Black Cat. I figure I'll end up paying high prices anyway if the variants start getting released into the wild before I find one, so whatever. What's funny is that this guy is in my area. He lives somewhere by my nearest Walmart.

I won't be able to go out and hunt for anything anyway - we got hit by a pretty decent snowstorm and the roads are dangerous on a good day, let alone on days like we're in for during this week.

Oh! I also ordered my Marvel Now! Cap. At least I paid retail price for him, even after shipping.

Well if you can afford it:P But yeah that does suck. I'm sure the stores will be getting a lot more of these in just cause it's more movie based then anything...

I ended up selling a Transformers Omnibus today, so I look at it this way: I basically traded that comic for Black Cat and ended up with a $5 profit I then put towards Cap. makes me feel better about it, anyway.

Surprisingly enough, I like nearly every ML figure coming out. I don't care much about Boomerang (although Killer Beetle looks cool, though I'm not overly familiar with him) and I never cared much about Baron Zemo, but everything else from the Cap and Spidey Infinite series looks tempting to pick up.

Though personally I would have preferred Anti-Venom to Toxin.

The cap ones are ok for me, but not worth getting at all for me, although I do like these new boxes that they're in.

No worries Jestermon just wanted to help with some info, Anya the new spidergirl is a teenager, and will probably have the previously unreleased jubilee female teen mold (probably will be a little smaller sized)

I ordered a set of these through BBTS but they are still on preorder, I hope I get the first release of figures (Black Cat and Carnage) when I get them, though Id like to get the variants for both of those(not really looking forward to Beetle and Boomerang) I dont want to miss out on Black Cat & Carnage.

Also check out Marvelousnews.com, they posted hi-res images of the swaps, and Im not sure but I believe Toxin might have the Hyperion Body Mold (his chest looks more like that one than the bucky cap mold) If that's the case that figure just got a bit more intresting, the bucky Cap Mold didnt suit Toxin in my opinion.

Heard toxin uses the sabertooth mold. I don't have it to compare to Hyperion looks a bit bigger than the Bucky one though.

Toxin really ought to have his chest symbol to break up all the red, otherwise it looks really plain. I get why it was made(latest symbiote + Eddie Brock combination), but it serves as a reminder that while we are getting this new Eddie Brock figure, it would've been cool to see Anti-Venom and classic Brock Venom as well(the SMC 2006 version has that rubber face which is prone to tearing).

Toxin is the main swap figure I want. Don't know too much about the other 2 to warrant purchasing at the moment though this may change later.

Ya toxin does look a bit off. Like sabertooth had all his skin ripped off or something.

But Marvel decided to create a Marvel Universe 2.0 in which May lived and became Spider-Girl at 15-16 years, with her spider-daddy huge disappointment; actually, it's the same continuity with a few changes, set several years later; there are new heroes and some of the old guard (Cyclops, Nova, Wolverine, the Fantastic 5 and so on. YES, 5!!!). Later Marvel renamed her reality Earth-982.
Her first appearance was in What If #105 (feb 1998), then she started her personal series (Spider-Girl) in October, till its closing at issue 100, although Marvel began a new series Amazing Spider-Girl

Yeah, I remembered the other universe Spider-Girl (982). I just did not remember what happened when they brought her to the Regular Marvel universe. It was in one of the many really bad Marvel eras of stories and I had all but left Marvel in the dust.
