It's already February and wave 2 of the Spiderman Marvel Legends Infinite Series is already out. That's nuts! Not even Fall! Hey I'm not complaining.

Anyways with that said, there may be room for at least 2 more waves of this series to hit retail. With carry-over figures of course but that also leaves room for new figures/characters. There are many Spidey rogues gallery folk that are sorely needed and have not been updated in years if not at all.

So pick what you think should be in Spiderman Marvel Legends Infinite Series Wave 3! NOte: I don't even know if any more waves are planned beyond what is curently out right now. Let's just have fun with this! Feel free to list parts/bodies to be used/re-used too.

Here is my list:
  • Spiderman 2099- Bucky Cap body, new head, new forearms, removable webbing attached to back
  • Scarlet Spider(Ben Reilly)- Superior Spiderman body, new wrist guantlets, soft-goods or soft plastic blue shirt/vest
  • Agent Venom
  • Venom(Eddie Brock)- new Sabretooth body with new torso(sculpted symbol) and new head
  • Doctor Octopus- all new mold
  • Lizard
  • Vulture
  • Elecktro(comic)
  • Anti-Venom- BAF

Agent frickin' Venom. I like my modded MS Venom in my display, but I'm dying to see that factory figure shown at Toy Fair oh so long ago... lol. Him and the other old-school Spidey Rogues you listed would be SWEET. If the Rhino "mech" from the movie doesn't suck, I guess that could be the BAF?

That might make for a cool BAF

I would kill for a Bagley styled venom to go with that new carnage. For BAF I would like to see either a spider slayer or the spider-man doppelganger.

Agent Venom with a classic Venom Swap
Morbius (we need a new one, with a not soft plastic moving face)
Scarlet Spider (classic) with a Spider-Man 2099 Swap
Smythe as a Spider Slayer
Shriek (why not have some of Carnage's happy crew from back in the day?)
Swarm (It's a pipe dream, but I want it!)
BAF Stegron the Dinosaur Man

I started running out of ideas haha

There are a lot od Spidey friends and foes to be made and remade for sure! I'd like to see a new Sandman, Hobgoblin, Scorpion and Vulture for a start. Silver Sable is a huge want from the beginning and now would be a great time to reuse the Moonstone body. I personally don't have an imparitive need for Rhino, because the MS version fits naturally, minus articulation of course, but I really don't want Hasbro to make the new movie version (even though I haven't seen it) because the classic Rhino will always be the best Rhino!

My preference will always be to the comic version of all the rogues, but even the latest Hasbro movie offerings can be fudged so I'm not too worried about it.

By all accounts these last two waves of ML are very popular and are selling well, so who's to say that there won't be more box sets released, I mean if only to appease us collectors

Well I'm gonna assume wave 3 at best would be 4 new figures at best.

1. Agent Venom

2. Rhino

3. Anti Venom

4. Solo. I've always wanted a figure if this guy.

Well, Im gonna go with the way Hasbro did Wave 1 and 2 so here is my Wave 3:
Case of 6 figures with 3 swap figures and 1 BAF:

-Movie Green Goblin
-Spider-Man 2099
-Ends Of The Earth Doctor Octopus
-Spider Slayers: Smythe Spider Slayer swap Modern Scorpion
-Pro & Anti Symbiotes: Agent Venom swap Anti Venom
-Enemies Unite: Ends Of The Earth Electro and Comic Green Goblin

BAF: Movie Rhino

I think this made a lovely wave 3 for me

It's too bad Speed Demon didn't get more play over the years, I've always wondered why he didn't make it into the Toybiz Spider-man classics line and especially Hasbro's, it seemed like just about the easiest guy to make. And I'm definitely in agreement with Cardiac, he'd make a great figure.

1) Spider-Man 2099 - The Hasbro one from '06 hasn't aged well, and wasn't that great in the first place.

2) Ultimate Spider-Woman - The new Arana Spider-Girl body would be perfect for this figure.

3) Future Foundation Spidey - I wish Hasbro would rerelease this guy for all of us who missed him the first time around. Big Time Spidey was plentiful in my area, mostly because that wave arrived late here, after the revision cases were being released. It's odd that Hasbro made BT Spidey so easily available when it was obvious that most Legends collectors wanted FF Spidey instead. This guy is practically begging for a rerelease.

4) Firestar - An odd request, sure, but she's an extended member of the Spidey Family (well, kinda, I guess, lol). Plus, all Hasbro would have to do is slightly modify and repaint the Black Cat body.

If you remember Big Time Spidey was hard to find at first with people asking high prices on ebay. I think the error in the paint turned a lot of people off and eventually he sat around because no one wanted him when he did show up.

Here's who I would love to see (in no particular order...and with swaps where applicable.)

Wave 3
1. Mary Jane Watson/Gwen Stacy (swap)
-Why is it that after all these years of Spidey figures, we STILL don't have these two other than the Kirsten Dunst version of MJ? And poor Gwen, still no love in figure form after all these years.

2. Cloak / Dagger (swap)
3. Doctor Octopus / Ultimate Doc Ock (swap)
4. Mysterio
5. Classic Electro (616 universe) / Scorpion (ultimate universe swap)

BAF: The Burgler (yep...it's time to give the guy who shot Uncle Ben his own figure...)

Wave 4
1. Kingpin
2. Tombstone / Hammerhead (swap)
3. Shocker / Cardiac (swap)
4. Kraven / Lizard (swap)
5. Alistair Smythe

BAF: Spider-Slayer bot

And because I think it would just plain rock...

Wave 5
1. Riot / Agent Venom (swap)
2. Agony
3. Lasher / Anti-Venom (swap)
4. Scream / Scorn (swap)
5. Phage

BAF: The Madness (Venom)

Firestar would be great and man even the 2002 2099 Spidey has not aged well. Used the same mold as the SMC wave 2 Daredevil and Scarlett Spider IIRC.

Are they making a wave 3? If they did...

I like the mentions of Cloak, Speed Demon, classic Beetle, Morbius and Morlun..

I would add:
White Tiger (both Hector Ayala and Angela Del Toro...although Hector would be off the chain)

Will O'The Wisp

Puma

Hydroman (a real one with detachable parts)

Cobra

Mr. Hyde

Dagger

Typhoid Mary

There are more, but they are even more obscure than some the ones I've mentioned...like Fool Killer and the Gibbon (actually he would be dumb) lol

Wave 3 has not been announced but given that wave 2 was already out 2 weeks ago, there's ample time for at least another wave if not 2.
