That second set up looks like Kirk is gonna smash Khan's balls in with a pipe. That's worth the money alone

The limitation in how they can be posed is definitely a big downer. The Engineering backdrop isn't too bad, but I would prefer it to have a less random cut-away. The bent phaser is definitely a nice accessory. Another thing that doesn't help this set, is the fact that I have no interest in owning a Khan figure. Let alone one that's so limited in what you can do with it. I guess it also doesn't help that I don't currently feel the need to own a Kirk figure. Though if I get Spock, I'll definitely want a Kirk too. Since it's inevitable that they'll release more than one Kirk, I'll definitely be passing on this. Who knows, maybe they'll release a new version of him in that green wrap thing he wore.

What scale are these? If they work for Mego I'll buy a set for my roomate- the headsculpts look really good here!
Even if it's 6", I might still get a set and maybe customize something for him....

Really though, it would have been epic to just have Kirk sitting in his captain's chair, leg crossed and smirking...it would already be sold out!
They could have done Kirk with the chair as a centerpiece and each bridge officer with a section...like how they did with the Enterprise figures- it would have had my money- even at Diamond's prices!

They're said to be seven inches.

Wow.. this is a fail in sooooo many ways. If one wasn't familiar with the episode, it looks like Kirk is about to maliciously beat with a pipe, a man begging for life... I love the idea of a bridge set with the figures. Wish they did that.

I'll pass on this tho, and wait for the "Kirk boinkin' random green alien chick wearing a shower curtain" figure.
