I hope they can keep a similar likeness when the eventual Hoth Leia figure arrives. So far the Leia head-sculpts have been widely inconsistent.

My local grocery store (HEB) had these out last night! It was just six Lukes and these two so the hunt for R2 goes on but I got these two.

The Jawa's eyes glow in the dark:

I discovered this by accident and I'm a bit surprised Hasbro never mentioned it.

It's pretty faint and that makes sense since they're just two little eyes but it is indeed a great treat hidden on the figure.

If the retro packaging is the big draw for these why couldn't Hasbro make it resealable like Gentle Giant does for their Jumbo SW figs?

So people would buy two which is why I skipped them all. If they had been resealable I would have bought them all. They probably think they would make more money that way, but I bet it would turn out to be false economy.

I'd still say the big draw is supposed to be the toys themselves. Particularly of course with the figures that are new.

I don't think I'm cynical enough to think of it that way but, I suppose you're right lol. In the case of the Vader, that's $80 and I guess if someone is hardcore enough...one to display, one to keep on the blister card and one early bird set unopened...

I agree..so I'll amend that to one of the main draws. Still though, there's gotta be a large portion of collectors out there who already have the previously released figures and are just getting them this time around because of the novelty of the packaging.

You are most likely right that there's got to be double-dippers with this assortment, so far I've just used it to get the new figures (Jawa, ANH/RO Vader, R5-D4, and hopefully soon the Sand person) or ones that I either passed on or missed originally (Han Solo, new head Leia, Ben, and R2-D2). Entries like Chewbacca and Luke I am completely skipping on because I have the originals.

Love the 40th Anniversary Black Series Figures!
Will they continue making more or just stop at the first 12 figures?
