So it being Star Wars day I finally picked up the Sidon Ithano and Quiggold two pack at Walmart. I had seen it before at TRU but they bumped the price up so I passed back then. These guys are some of my favorite TFA alien/creature designs and when I first saw the movie on the big screen I loved noticing that they were holding hands as they left Maz's bar. They weren't exactly holding hands as the Crimson Corsair was helping his handicapped first mate walk but the action still leaves an impression on me. It's like "awww they're buddies." They're pretty well sculpted and painted in my opinion and as what will likely be my only TFA 3.75" figures I'm glad they came as a pair.

I heard that Walmart really dropped the ball today for the "May the 4th be with you" event. They were supposed to release the new 3.75" black series wave and they did nothing. Big surprise...

Anyone else find anything good?

I ordered a Retaliation Snake Eyes to make a better Starkiller figure and the two Force Unleashed graphic novels.

But since they're not here yet I don't really have anything to show for the day. Should have the Rebels Season One Blu-ray in the next couple of days though so there's something I guess..

I thought I'd share mine. Yeah it's "a bit" Prequel-focused, but the line so far's been like 75% OT, 20% TFA, and seemingly 5% PT/other with Rebels and such.

To the enhanced-detail more-realistic Rebels crew I would add likewise-improved Ventress and battle-armored Pre Vizsla with his black-bladed lightsaber. I'd also like to see a good 1:12 scale version of Starkiller.

Pre Viszla would be cool. I thought Jon Favreau did a fantastic job voicing him and he was fairly complex for a villain.

Some 6" McQuarrie concept figures would also be neat, I really liked when they did them in the 3.75" lines.

Anecdotally, I find Darth Vader's stylized, distorted appearance in Rebels just plain annoying. The helmet should be ACCURATE! You do NOT mess with it! You just DON'T.

...But thinking of the McQuarrie paintings, the new resemblance to the original concept seems too obvious not to be deliberate. Annoying as it is, to me and others, I at least understand that it may be intended in some way to serve as a kind of tribute to an otherwise brilliant creative mind.

Reading speculative commentary about the future of Rogue One, I'm more convinced than ever that we're going to see more of Darth Vader on the big screen -- which means we can expect more versions of him on store shelves.
