The helmet on the one they already did is fairly accurate as is (the eyes are a little small) but I doubt Hasbro would bother to take the effort to do a new helmet when every one already finds the existing one sufficient. Something I've always noticed though is that a lot of the stormtroopers in the original film have slightly different helmets. Some have wider mouths while others' mouths are more peaked, the black band above the eyes is straight on some but warped on others, etc. Just a fun observation on how the costume makers couldn't keep a strict consistency on what they mass produced for all those extras.

What is a "respectable" amount of Stormtroopers to build to in an army?
Edit: just asking as I would be enjoy some input on this. I have been known to go a tad overboard when it comes to army building. My son and I are only doing the Force Awakens 3.75" 5poa Stormtroopers. I know most people hate them, but he enjoyed the film and is very proud of his collection. He.currently have 9 (not counting 2 Squad Leaders, 2 Flqmetroopers and 3 Snowtroopers) and was wondering what fellow Arkers thought.... cheers for the insight and help.

best stormtrooper head sculpt on a mass produced figure is on the elite series figure. unfortunately, that figure is a floppy, barely posable mess.

My heart goes out to her family, but my first two initial thoughts were-1. Oh no!!!! That's terrible. 2. What about Episode IX?
Almost simultaneously. Then I felt bad for thinking that, but I'm sure most did as well.... We will all miss her.

You are not alone. As someone who was involved with ongoing projects it is hard not to think that, though it will resolve itself somehow. I hope they do honor to her legacy.

I'm very upset, it was far too soon and she was such an impressive, remarkable woman.
I hope they find a way to write Episode IX around her absence, the character deserves better than being killed off screen.

Still no sign of Sabine in my area yet. I did see a Kanan, but I have no use for an outdatted Kanan.

Sabine was a bit of a letdown once I finally had her in hand. While she is cool looking, there is something that doesn't quite come together when it came to the execution. The helmet is woefully small and fits tight to the point where you have to worry about paint rub, and the gun holsters greatly hamper the leg articulation, which isn't all the great to begin with at the hips. The face on mine is well painted, but it's hard to look at because it appears that they used some sort of shiny paint on her eyes, which gives her the appearance of not having pupils when you look at the figure in certain angles of light. On a side note, the lightsaber QC issues from the SDCC Old Ben Kenobi figure still exist, so handle the lightsaber blade with care when removing it from the hilt. Once removed, I advise swapping the blade with the saber blade that came with the Episode 3 Kebobi, as the Old Man Kenobi saber blade fits perfectly in that figure's hilt with no danger of breaking, and vice versa. In addition, the original episode 3 saber blade is actually more accurate to the one Alec Guinness wielded in Episode 4, it being of a lighter color, and tapering off to a point, instead of being rounded like the other lightsaber blades in the line. |

My experience with the Sabine figure has been the opposite, the more I look at it and pose it the more I love it. The helmet is a little short I think, but that really only stands out when you look up at the figure form beneath. I think they have done an amazing job capturing the character of the, well, character. Put her in a pose and she looks like she stepped out of the tv show its remarkable. I've not had any issues with the holsters hampering the legs either, I think I'm getting as much movement out of them as the hips allow and the holsters just move out of the way.

Yeah, all of teh reviews and feedback on Sabine has been positive. As for the helmet tightness, I'd rather have that over a helmet that looks huge. <coughMagnetocough>
Of course, why would I want to cover Sabine's face with a helmet? She looks way cooler without it, especially with the kick ass hair. As for Kanan, don't get me wrong, the figure looks great, and I would have picked it up over a year ago, but not anymore. I just see no reason to have him in that version when the most impact he is going to do as a character is going to be this new version. It's kind of like why I prefer Jedi Luke over Farmboy Luke.

As the late, great Glenn Webb would say, "Here is Sabine at her widest stance possible with both feet flat on the floor."
I'm not fudging that either. That's about as wide of hip movement that I get out of the figure, which is really a let down. Ahsoka, Jyn, and the new Leia get way more movement than that. It doesn't help that upon closer inspection of the figure, the figure seems to use slightly resculpted (if not at all) parts from the Marvel Legends MCU Black Widow, as she has heels, and has a horrible time standing up for me, especially if she is wearing the helmet. As for the eyes, I'm really not sure just what it is, as I can't seem to get a good look at what I'm looking at. The orange paint they use for them as well as the black eyeliner is a bit glossy on my figure, and it gives her either the appearance of cat's eyes, or having no pupils as all depending on the angle I look at it. It's especially noticeable in the figure's left eye when you look at the photo above. As for Sabine keeping her helmet off, I prefer to have it on, as to me, it shows a bit of her pride in not running away from her Mother's checkered history as being a member of Death Watch, as well as it bearing the very cool design of the "Nite Owls," the elite group within Death Watch that her mother may have been a part of. I'm hoping that we get an eventual reveal of Sabine's mother in the future, as well as possibly a cameo appearance of Bo-Katan (who I also wouldn't mind seeing as a Black Series figure...) |

Everyone seems to fail at eyes for some reason. That's why I love it when they do super heroes that don't show their pupils.
I haven't caught up on Rebels yet, so I haven't heard anything about her mother. All I know right now is that Thrawn puts me to sleep. No wonder he is supposedly this big name winner. He beats his enemies into boredom.

Only issue I had with Sabine was how small her helmet is- leave it on long term and either it's going to stretch out, or take a chunk of paint off Sabine with it when you remove it. I just found a spare head in the fodder bin that fit the helmet better (with some minor surgery- like ear removal) and use that instead- now I'm comfortable that the helmet and the head remain looking like they should and she's just a effortless head-swap if I want to change up her look... |

@Trivial, it appears you have the first version of Sabine where her holsters peg into her legs. I got the revision where they don't plug in and it allows her a bit more movement. I wouldn't have known there were variants except that the folks over at rebelscum showed it in their gallery. Personally I dig the figure a lot and I have yet to even start Rebels, my favorite of the wave is still Revan because the figure's mere existence is a dream come true but Sabine definitely rocks.

sure! I used a movie BlackWidow head (sans hair). Since i want it easily removable i went with a head with a larger hole and just used a tiny bit of sticky tack on the top of the neck peg, that way it's easy to pop on and off and move around.

I have yet to see the Sabine/Leia wave. Went to four GameStops, but only found a plethora of Kylo's and Jyn's.
