Checked two Targets near me today about 10am or so, and of course by that time they were totally ransacked with only a few Reys remaining. Then I stopped at my local Barnes & Noble on the way home and their Star Wars display didn't look like it had even been touched. I guess people don't think of Barnes & Noble for stuff like this?
Anyway, scored my two most-wanted figures there and avoided paying scumbag scalper prices on ebay. Nice. |

So its not a bad figure. But I think it could have been better. No lightsaber attachment point. Missing the rain poncho he's prominently shown with and BD is barely painted (along with the lightsaber)

The Target & Walmart I checked after work for Force Friday were picked clean. I had to pay Gamestop’s late fee to get Cal Ketsis. Whereas other Jedi say “Use the force,” he says “USE THE TONGS, CARL!”

Found a 3.75" Vintage Rise Rey at Best Buy. Target only had Vintage pilot Lukes left... they did have a lone Black Series Mando though, but I'm gonna wait to see if I actually like the tv show first before getting him.

I went to Walmart yesterday and bought two new Star Wars figures. the new Vintage Collection Luke X Wing pilot and a Galaxy Adventures First Order jet trooper.
here's the thing, couple of the new Galaxy Adventures 5 inch figures look really nice and do fit in with the regular 3 inch figures. Even the new 5 inch Galaxy Adventures Darth Vader looks really nice and he can hold the lightsaber in both hands unlike the regular Vintage Collection Darth Vader figures. Even Episode IX Finn of the Galaxy Adventures looks really nice |

So irritating... they changed the neck ball joint on the Rise of Skywalker Vintage Rey, so you can't do headswaps anymore... I really wanted to do some Rey headswaping. Great figure otherwise though... except she's tiny. I kinda hate how Vintage wave figures are truly 3.75" scale figs and not actually 4" scale figs like Joes or MU are.

yeah i noticed that not just with Vintage Collection Episode IX Rey, but also the new Luke X Wing pilot figures. stupid double ball joined head and the neck where its a hole now. I was hoping to put the head of Last Jedi Rey with the mullet hair onto the body of Episode IX Rey figure.
wonder if the ball stick thingy in the head of luke and rey can be removed with strong tweezers or not and just stick the ball joint stick back on the holy neck part. |

It looks like people are having issues with paint chipping on the carbonized figures.

I had picked up the Second Sister Carbonized figure before I saw this. I didn't realize that the carbonized effect was an actual thing having to do with the figure's paint apps. I thought it was merely a packaging gimmick. I was just happy having found the thing to begin with, so there was no chance I was putting her down, carbonized or not...being that nearly every major Target and Walmart around me failed to even participate in the Force Friday promo. (Of course, I found out after the fact that the Second Sister was a Gamestop exclusive.) Thankfully, my figure didn't have any of these chipped issues, though it something I'll be thinking of in future. Now of course, I'm wondering if I should be on the hunt for a basic version of the Second Sister. Does anyone have any images of the Carbonized figures side by side with the standard releases? I'd be curious to see the exact differences. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 10-06-2019 at 03:08 PM.. |

Got the inquisitress, cal and a range trooper. All rang up 9 bux so bonus! And picked up the goldberg at a bargain hunt....figured i could use him for some custom later on. The inquisitress seems a little short but otherwise is a pretty slick figure.

Honestly i prefer the non-metallic look for the mandalorian. I like the metallic look more for the blood trooper but im okay with the regular version as well.

I can’t even look at the normal Sith trooper after seeing the metallic/Graphite one. One looks like a Toy and the other looks like a High end collectible. The extra $5 is definitely worth it for me on him.
The Mando on their hand both figs are great. Because Luckily I haven’t had any issues with paint chipping on my Graphite Mando yet. Him and the Normal one are both one of the best black series figures I’ve gotten in a while. Last edited by Tim; 10-07-2019 at 04:06 PM.. |

To anyone who has the Black Series Mandalorian figure, have you run into any QC issues with it? I just received mine from Dorkside Toys today, and he has a couple pretty bad issues. The rifle doesn't peg into the weapon storage on his back at all (it damaged the peg on the rifle when I tried, to the point where I had to clip a bit of it off to fix.) Even after the trim, it still doesn't fit, so I'm only able to store it using the hole on the bandolier strap.
The most damning bit of QC is that my figure is floppy. Like KO levels of flop in the hips, ab crunch and head. If it hadn't come from Dorkside, I could have sworn that I just bought a bootleg. Sucks because this was the figure I was most looking forward to out of the Force Friday Black Series figs, and he now feels like a bit of a dud. I'm wondering if I should bother looking for a replacement, because if this is a widespread issue, I'm not going to trouble myself. |

I would send that back triv and request a new one. Thats why i prefer getting figs at real stores because if that issue pops up i can just take it back and get another ( if theres one abailable. )

@Triv man like Harbinger said I’d send that back. The one I have is the exact opposite. I had to run him under hot water just to loosen up his legs. The Holster on the back in like that with everyone’s though. It’s hard to put the gun in the back. But the loose joints aren’t a problem on either my Metallic or normal one. So sorry that’s gotta suck. I’d try to get a replacement

Really sucked the fun out of a otherwise cool figure. At least my Carbon Second Sister figure came out flawless, outside of an overly tight ankle joint that needed heating. Black Series (and Star Wars as a whole) has just kinda started to sour on me, so I'm don't think I'm gonna break my back (or my bankroll) on trying to replace this guy. It is what it is. Unless something has already been announced (which I haven't heard) I honestly think Hasbro will be done with Star Wars once the license runs out next year, at which point so will I. Yep. I just put a small blob of blutac on the bottom of my droid to make it stand up.

Since you don't know about it I'm guessing you probably already threw it away by mistake, but it actually does come with a tiny little stand in the package. It's stored right underneath its wheel. It's curved on one side and flat on the other and is the same color as most of the droid, and is still a bit iffy to get standing, but far easier than trying to stand it up on its own.
