Still no sign of the Deleted Scenes or Malgus waves. And all I really want is that new Vader. Maybe Hoth Luke, but any others in those waves will have to wait until I see them before I decide if I even want them.
Correct. Target is the only one who uses their own system of DCPI codes instead of the standard UPC/bar code.

I saw the deleted scene wave finally last week and passed on it all. They were even in sale and I almost bought the Luke but I decided to stick with my Endor Capture Luke.

Yes, Universal Product Code. If I have it my friend can enter it into the system at Meijer and tell me if they have any or when they come in. Also if any of the meijers in the area (like 10) have any. Same thing with any action figures, only thing is it doesn't differentiate between variants. Like the Marvel Legends, White Spidey & Green Spidey will have the same UPC #..

I got the blue generic HK b-a-d figure for $6 with free shipping and then just painted it. Much cheaper.

Awesome, thanks! If I find any I'll grab as many as I can. I'll trade em off or sell em for cost.

Here is a change of pace for me, what do you guys know about this figure/character?
I've had this figure for over a year, and bought it clearanced at a derelict Kmart just because he had Mandolorian armor and I'd never heard of him. |

^^ I like mine. I bought it because he was the first dude I ever heard of that wore armor like Boba and I had the comic. I don't buy every Mandalorian looking figure either.

^ Ah, so he is a Fett impersonator who eventually got his ass handed to him by Fett himself. Awesome.

He's got a great and unique head on him- perfect for customs! |

I like this figure, it kind of gives me the bug to collect more characters in Mandalorian armor.
edit: By the way, does anyone happen to know if those electronic Boba Fett helmets fit adults? I've got a big noggin, but am considering doing the whole Fett thing this Halloween if I have the money. Last edited by DogFashionDisco; 05-03-2012 at 06:29 PM.. |

if you can drop $40 for one of those, you might as well go another $20 up for a Ruby's helmet. More accurate, better quality, not kidsy.

Jodo Kast's armor was so close to Boba Fett's that he was often mistaken for him. Eventually Jodo decided to say he was Boba to get better paying gigs, but the real Fett (Boba) didn't like that and went and killed Jodo. Edit- just noticed Tiberius' link. I saw Jodo and got excited. Always thought that was a funny story and was thrilled they made a figure of such an odd character.

Cool, I'll check it out and if I can swing the cost I'll pick one up sometime in September.

That's a good figure to own.. I'm a little jealous to be honest. I had one MOC, but gave it to a friend for a bday gift last year.

JOdo Kast is indeed an oddball character- he was made for the West end Games RPG from the 80's and somwhow became a fan fav.
My old SW charcater (and his merc freighter crew) whacked Jodo, took his armor and painted it black and red. I made a mini for him and everything....maybe I should get a Boba and relive my geeky childhood? Quote:
Besides, wasn't it you that linked me their Vader a few pages back? I'd check but...sooo.....lazy....ZZZZzzzzz Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 05-04-2012 at 10:24 PM.. |

So, for "May the fourth", I went shopping for Star Wars toys. How many versions of R2-D2 are out there? I wanted a definitive one for my shelf, and the one I have is somewhat old.
Or is it pretty much a case of "you can't go wrong" with any of the ones Hasbro has offered? ![]() |

My R2 is the one where you turn his head, his periscope goes up.
It's nicely detailed, with a great paint job and nicely weathered and the two side legs have articulated feet. The sensor eye is a seperate clear-blue part- not painted on or whatever. |

Okay, that sounds really nice. Which version is that? Do they improve with every iteration?

The VC R2-D2 with the drink tray from Jabba's barge is pretty good.

Here a comparison pic I found online- though mine seems more weathered, it could jjust be actual grime as it was in the Loose Toy Bin. http://www.jedidefender.com/collect9...comparison.jpg |
